One part of Consolatio is the beauty the artwork brings to the human eye. The other part is the intention behind how each piece is made. Every artwork is created sustainably: the vases are secondhand, either purchased or donated directly to Consolatio; the flowers are sourced from local flower shops, friends, and my own collection; and the fabrics are made from scrap textiles I have collected over the years, including materials left behind from past creative ventures that never came to life.
I create this way because of how I was raised — with an understanding of scarcity, resourcefulness, and the importance of appreciating what we already have. I do my best to live with a small carbon footprint, even though it can be difficult in today’s world. That is why 20% of every sale is donated to nonprofit organizations dedicated to protecting our Earth and educating humanity on eco-friendly practices that can be applied in everyday life.
There is also a deeper meaning behind the materials I use to create Consolatio. Many of them came into my life as gifts, and after years of experimenting and discovering my artistic voice, I finally feel ready to share this work with the world in a way that gives back. This is not only about making money for myself — it is about recognizing the power creativity has in shaping our lives, inspiring connection, and keeping culture and humanity alive.
By supporting Consolatio, you are helping me continue sharing this message while also giving back to causes that protect our planet and future generations.
Below is a list of organizations I currently support. If there is a nonprofit organization you would like me to consider contributing to, please feel free to send me a message. I would be honored to learn about it.
