Consolatio (con-soul-a-tea-o)

The art of Consolation is a sublime craft that embraces the depths of human spirit—the human soul and emotions. It delves into the realm of empathy, where the colors of understanding and compassion paint the canvas of connection. It whispers words of encouragement, a symphony of solace and support, as it weaves its gentle touch through the tapestry of our lives.

In this delicate dance, the artist of Consolatio seeks to bring comfort and solace to those navigating the storms of life. With every piece shows compassion, kindness and meaningful gestures. They offer a sanctuary for weary souls, a beacon of hope in the darkest of nights. It is an art that uplifts, mending the broken and ameliorating the wounds of the heart.

Through the arts of listening and understanding, Consolatio creates a sanctuary of serenity where burdened hearts find respite. It has the remarkable ability to sense the unspoken yearning within, allowing empathy to guide the human back to peace. Each work made with care, acknowledging the depths of pain while illuminating the path toward healing.

In the embrace of Consolatio's hues, the heaviness of grief becomes lighter, and the weariness of the wounded finds solace. The artist, with their palette of empathy, hues of encouragement, and intentional placement of each flower, leaf, and fold in fabric, she artfully crafts a soothing feeling for the soul. With their creations, they whisper, "You are not alone. Together, we can mend the fragments and reclaim the essence of what is lost."

🕊️The art of Consolation invites us to remember that in our darkest moments, there is beauty to be recognized and found. It is a reminder for us to embrace the vulnerability of our wounds and acknowledge the power of human connection. Through the combination of natural tones, the artist encourages us to seek relief in the beauty of imperfection and the unwanted, to basque in the warmth of compassion, and to celebrate the inherent strength that resides within us all. 🏺

The chosen materials are this:
🏺
The Vase, a historically strong symbol of each of us being a vessel; what we fill ourselves with, will overflow unto others. We must be mindful what we consume and store physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

🥀The Flower, a gift that means many, many things. You can receive flowers for a celebration, give flowers for condolences, and everything in between. It's beauty and inimitable scent moves a room. But when they start to wither, they are easily disliked, forgotten, and thrown out. I have taken the initiative to tend to their care until they die. You can see the difference between a neglected flower and a nurtured one.

🧵The Fabric has an easily missed meaning. When we think of clothes we don't think of the waste it comes with upon creating and disposing it. To give some perspective, a pair of jeans takes somewhere between 1500-1800 gallons of water. When we dispose our SHEIN hauls of clothes, they most likely go to this beautiful landscape in Chile that is now a landfill. Let this sink in.

Allow this energy to be in your home. To remind you to be mindful of eliminating something no longer needed, to be mindful of the beauty still found in something not wanted, finding peace through grief, and overflowing unto others with love and passion.

So let us cherish the art of Consolatio, where we find not only comfort but also the transformative power to heal, to grow, and to emerge stronger. It is a testament to the human spirit, the indomitable force that seeks solace, understanding, and renewal. And in its gentle reminder, we learn that within this art lies the capacity to ameliorate not only our own pain but also the pain of others in our shared journey of life.🕊️
